About Guitar Commissions

“Ken Jones’ Mountain Song Odalisque is one of the best fingerstyle guitars I’ve ever played. It has beautiful woods and a perfect neck shape and size. The tone is balanced and clear with lots of sweetness in the high end and a nice controlled bass. I would buy it right now if I could. I love it.”

— Al Petteway, Grammy award-winning multi-instrumentalist

Ken is currently accepting requests for orders on a first-come, first-served basis. There is a two-year average lead time on a typical build, but this may change due to fluctuations in the waiting list. Please call for the most current info.

Ken is currently offering three primary Mountain Song guitar models —

The Odalisque

The Odalisque  a small-bodied guitar akin to the Martin 000 or OM in size, though with a tighter waist, wider lower bout, and a slightly greater body depth. Great projection, balance, and sweetness combine with a compellingly modern shape. Base price: $7200 (before tonewood selection)

The Odalisque Jumbo  based on the Odalisque body shape with large-bodied guitar proportions reminiscent of the Gibson J200. Base price: $7500 (before tonewood selection). Also available as a baritone, add $500

The Mountain Jewel Parlor

The Mountain Jewel Parlor  is based on the Martin 2 1/2 Parlor, it has a short (24 3/8″) scale and makes a great travel guitar. This guitar has a huge sound for such a compact package, and is a joy to play. Base price: $6500 (before tonewood selection)
